In the week before Christmas
when peace descends
on our world
like soft snow
Wrapped in music,
we’re nourished with food
love and laughter,
Alert to the sublime
Free to breathe!
to be full of gratitude,
full of grace,
at ease, stress suspended
The beautiful silence
when peace descends
and it’s just us and the birds
and the sky.
